Client needed to bradcast auction on line
Also needed ability to record auction
To accompish this two Dell Opitplex PCs were used
One served to place auction information on screen so those present could follow
The other servesd to record and transmit both the audio and vio feeds of the auction to the virtual observers
As a precaution the recording were not archived locally but on a remote Raid 5 NAS device
The audio is captured from the auctioneer PA system
Control of the dual PCs is accomplished using a KVM to simplify user interfaced and reduce mess
Later PC’s were moved to a free up space in auction area
The dual video feeds are acquired with a capture card
The current system is still in use
Wireless cards were installed as a backup in case wired system failed
